This leaflet provides patients with information on the colonoscopy procedure if polyps were found during NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) bowel scope screening test. A patient will be invited to have a colonoscopy if small growths called polyps were found when they had NHS bowel scope screening. This means there is a chance that there are polyps further up the bowel as well. A colonoscopy checks further up the bowel.
