This leaflet should be given to all parents and carers of children who are offered the flu vaccine in primary school. It should be linked to any text invitation and should be accompanied by a consent form when sending an invitation letter. Flu can be a very unpleasant illness in children causing fever, extreme tiredness, aching muscles and joints, stuffy nose, dry cough and sore throat. Having the vaccine will protect your child and reduce the chances of other family members from getting ill.
