Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs. Everyone turning 75 years old on or after the 1st September 2024, will be offered a single dose of RSV vaccine. This is because older adults are more at risk of serious complications from RSV. This guide describes the vaccine, the rational for the programme, who is eligible for the vaccine, the ADACEL vaccine and how to read about the PIL, where to get it, what to expect and possible side effects and how to get more information. You can protect yourself by having the RSV vaccine.
